Brad Steward, Class of 2008
Brad graduated from The University of Maryland Eastern Shore. He is currently married with two children. Brad loves his career as a Naval Flight Officer in the US Navy on board the Navy's Maritime Patrol Aircraft. His career has enabled him to see the world, lead others and build a future for his family.
Brad attended Wilmington Montessori School in Toddler through 1st grade, then moved to Hockessin Montessori School for 2nd through 8th grade. He graduated with one of our very first Middle School classes! Brad greatly misses his time at HMS and always think about the opportunities his Montessori Education has allowed him. Montessori gave him the innate ability to perform, especially when it came time to immerse himself in public high school. Naturally being an "A" student, due to habits and skills he developed in Montessori, this provided him to opportunity to receive a full ride, Honors Scholarship to earn a Bachelors in Environmental Science and use that degree to serve in Naval Aviation.
Join us in congratulating Brad on his many outstanding accomplishments and thanking him service to our country! We are also grateful to him for sharing his story and furthermore reinforcing ... That a Montessori Education has Proven Results! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Buster Gerard Julian Santos Thompson graduated in our very first 8th grade, Class of 2006. Buster is about to celebrate his second wedding anniversary with his wife, Amber. Buster says he will always remember The Hockessin Montessori School as the environment that encouraged him to be creative and independent when either developing a new idea or trying to solve a problem. Montessori taught him to be tolerant, understanding and patient with the world and people around him, and he hopes to pass those same lessons to his children.
Once again, our remarkable HMS Alumni stories demonstrate that Montessori Education has Proven Results! Please join us in congratulating Buster on his outstanding accomplishments!
